針を刺す前の5秒 ― フィラーの箱で確認できること、できないこと

A syringe arrives at the chair already drawn up, or it arrives in a box that is opened in front of you. Those are two different transactions, and the difference is the only part of an injectable appointment a patient can actually inspect.

What the box is for

Every injectable licensed for sale in Korea carries a lot number and an expiry date on both the outer carton and the primary container, and a Korean licence number issued by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. That printing is not decoration. It is the thread that ties the object in the room to a manufacturing batch, and it is the only thing in the appointment that can be photographed and checked afterwards.

An unopened box shown to you before it is opened proves three narrow things: that a box exists, that it is the product named, and that it has not expired. It proves nothing about storage, nothing about who handled it before it reached the clinic, and nothing about how much of it goes in.

What it does not prove

A lot number is not a certificate of authenticity. Counterfeit packaging exists precisely because packaging is what people check. What the number gives you is traceability: a specific batch you can name later, to the manufacturer or to a regulator, if a question ever arises. That is worth having, and it is a smaller claim than “verified”.

Nor does an opened box tell you the dose. Botulinum toxin is reconstituted with saline before use, and the dilution is a clinical decision made out of sight. A vial opened in front of you is still a vial whose contents you cannot measure.

The five seconds

The ask is short and it is not rude: please open it in front of me, and let me photograph the box. A clinic that injects volume has heard it before. What you are buying with those five seconds is not certainty. It is a record.
